Is Organic Food More Healthy?

A lot of people don't understand the point of organic food. It doesn't have extra vitamins or minerals, it doesn't have special life-extending properties. So why eat it - why spend extra money on organic food if these statements aren't true?

It's simple, really. The foods themselves might not be any healthier, but that's not the point. It's not that they're putting more good things into your body - it's that organic foods keep more bad things out.

Our livers - our main detox organs - are now overworked from the huge amounts of toxins we put in not only from our food, but also from the air we breathe and the clothes we wear.

This might also be part of the reason for the increase in obesity. The liver is largely responsible for your bodies ability to burn fat. A healthy, well functioning liver makes your body much more of a fat-burning machine. But it's become so taxed by simply removing toxins from the body that it can no longer do its fat-burning job.

Now, these chemicals are bad enough alone, but when the pesticides, preservatives, and high-heat of pasteurization all come together to create a processed food product, they make new and completely untested chemicals that wreak havoc on your body.

When you stop putting so many bad things into your body, something amazing can happen. Your body can stop being on high-alert all the time, constantly trying to bail water out of a quickly sinking ship.

And once your body can start healing itself, you'll be amazed at what starts to happen. Your body and mind will work better together, and you'll experience the gift of true health.
